  1. Open Internet Explorer on your computer, if no web page loads this is normal.
  2. On your address bar type the following address 192.168.1.1 and press enter in Internet explorer.

  4. Log into Tomato with the following
  5. Username: root
    Password: admin


    router ident

  6. Click on Basic then Identification on the left hand pane; enter your desired router name and hostname for your router.

    port forwarding

  8. Click on Port Forwarding and then Basic on the left hand pane; to setup your port forwarding on your router.  ( see www.portforward.com for different examples )
  9. Src Address: leave blank if you want from any ip
    Ext Ports: which port you want open from outside
    Int Ports: which port you use inside your network
    Int Address: Your internal ip address where the service is running on.
    Description: a description of your service you are hosting

  10. Remember when done to click add and save at the bottom of the page.

    pppoe

  12. Click on Basic and then Network on the left pane
  13. Type in the following:
    Type:  Choose PPPoE
    Username:  your MLPPP login such as teksavvyuser@wiredhighspped.com or teksavvyuser@copperdsl.com
    Password: enter your password
    Service Name: enter your providers name
    Connect Mode: Keep Alive
    Minimum Retry Delay: 5
    Multi-link PPP: Select Single Link
    Route Modem IP: enter your modems IP address

    time zone

  16. Click the Time section and enter the following:
  17. Time Zone: Select your time zone from the drop down
    Auto Daylight Savings Time: Check box
    Auto Update Time: Select from dropdown menu
    Trigger Connect On Demand: Check box

  20. Select Advanced and then Miscellaneous from the left pane
  21. Under Networking select the following:
  22. MTU: Select manual and enter the value of 1487
    MRU: Select Automatic
    MRRU: Select Manual and enter the value of 1486
    Incoming MSS: Select Automatic
    Outgoing MSS: Select Automatic
    LCP Echo Interval: Enter the value of 30
    LCP Echo Adaptive Interval: Enter the value of 2
    LCP Echo Fail: Enter the value of 12
    MLPPP Interfaces: Leave defaults
    Reject non-MLPPP Connections: Checked

  23. Under Web Admin select the following:
  24. Local Access: HTTPS
    HTTPS Port: 443
    Common Name (CN): Leave blank
    Regenerate: Unchecked
    Save in NVRAM: Unchecked
    Remote Access: Unchecked
    Allow Wireless Access: It is recommended to be unchecked
